The 3 Pigs Italy + Kill Stelvio is a cycling adventure created by Velodrom Summits that will push your cycling limits to the extreme, in 2 magical stages in the area of the Ort Alps. In the first stage, 3 Pigs Italy, you will face the biggest and the most infamous climbs of the Italian Alps: Passo Mortirolo, Passo di Gavia and the Passo Stelvio, all in one single stage. Second stage you will discover the Passo Stelvio from both sides: first climbing from Bormio towards the Umbrail Pass, and then heading to Prato dello Stelvio to climb one of the most beautiful roads in the world.

2 PIGS ITALY

The start of our adventure is not made for the faint-hearted. The 3 pigs is a Velodrom Classic ride where you need to overcome 3 major peaks in one ride in different parts of the world, and in this case, it's here in the Italian Alps.

The Mortirolo is considered one of the hardest climbs of the big tours, averaging 10,5% during 13km. After the summit, we will head to ponte di legno where you will face the second challenge of the day: Passo Di Gavia, made of 17 strenuous kilometers that will take you to over 2700 meters of Altitude.

If you have signed for the Mission Impossibile and you want to win the 3 pigs trophy, you will need to climb all the way to the Passo Stelvio. Only the hardest and toughests riders will complete the mission!

Passo Di Gavia is one of the most spectacular climbs you will see in your life. Reaching almost 3000 meters of altitude is one hell of a climb. There is one pitch black tunner of 1km with a 8% average that will take your breath away (so remember to bring your front light!).

Kill Stelvio
Today is one of our preferred stages: Kill Stelvio. You will need to tackle both faces of the giant of the Alps. We will start the climb heading towards the Passo Umbrail, the highest road of Switzerland with just over 2500 meters of altitude.
Depending on your mission, you will need to start the descend towards Switzerland, across the Italian border again, and have a face to face with giant of the giants: Passo Dello Stelvio.

This trip’s route was designed for optimal cycling but keeping in mind that you might want to be with your familiy. Both Bormio, in the Italian Alps, and Alleghe in the Dolomites, are very touristic and beautiful towns  with loads of activities for non riders.
